Structural Features of H44W American Standard Swing Check Valve:

The disc of the American Standard check valve is disc-shaped and moves around the rotating shaft of the valve seat passage. Since the internal passage of the valve is streamlined, the flow resistance is lower than that of a lift-type check valve. It is suitable for large-diameter applications with low flow rates and infrequent flow changes, but is not suitable for pulsating flow. Its sealing performance is inferior to that of a lift-type check valve.
